Hahahaha Klxster!I am only about 160lbs....and have been riding a bike for all of 2 weeks now....not ready for wheelies just yet. This bike is tooo nice for me to be jacking around and dump it just yet.

Ok, gotcha, Fud for future thought .. You want more top end ? I'm running the stock 14 primary and had to let off at 86 mph as my bike was starting to become unstable. You don't need more top end - you can kill yourself quite easily with the top end you've got.
The 13 tooth primary will give you harder acceleration but could make 1st gear too low to be of any use on the street.

BTW, you should read at least the first few pages of the MCM sticky. (Marcelino Cam Mod)

13 tooth on the street makes for a great first gear!!!! with the 250. If you plan on sticking with the 250 a 13 front or +3 rear would be great! If you go with a big bore (331 or 351) you need to get rid of the 13 front ASAP, it makes the first 2 gears almost unusable

If I try and get more top end speed would it not run better(lower rpm) at the 70-75 range? I will check out the MCM thread you mentioned sometime this weekend.

Great forum guys. I just took ownership of my "brand new" KLX250s, actually a 2009 with only 700 miles on it and never on the dirt! Picked it up on CL for $3k. It's got more dirt on it now from my back yard and now is starting to look like a dirt bike.

I just finished re-jetting with the DJ kit and it is quite a different bike. Also pulled off all the "extra" hoses and canisters. Now I'm looking for a block off plate for the outlet near the exhaust header. Anyone know where to get one? Maybe I'll just CNC one myself.

Dave
