$1000 to spend

So........
Dynajet 2152 Kit..........$51
FMF Power Core 4
and Power Bomb..........$407
(Q4 +$50) (+$50) Thoughts on saving the $50?
BB 351 Kit...................$527
KDX snorkel.................$30
Kouba Screw................$25
---------
$1040
($1090)
Probably wouldn't begin to mess with the 351 kit till this winter, but definitely is something I could see in the future.
Now, if we start talking suspension, I'm not exactly sure what that entails other than front forks etc......

Noisy bikes are one of the big things that are ruining riding spots. Even on the road noisy bikes (lots of Harleys are overly loud) are bringing the law down on everybody.

The TINY amount of oil that the front suspension will flow per unit of time is pitiful. It makes the front end lurch over hard hits, not compressing fast enough to soak up the shock, which makes it very hard to hold a line over rough terrain. Pro-Action makes a nice upgraded valving. I believe several others make good upgrades, too. MotoPro and Racetech come to mind. I don't know which is the best, or which is the best value. A local guy is a Pro-Action specialist, so, I went that route. I forget what I paid. Seems like I got the front done, with new springs, as well as the rear with new springs at a big discount, and it seems like it was about 650.00. But, I ride very rough desert terrain, so, it was a screaming deal at that price for the performance improvement it provided. The BB 331 was also a great deal for the performance improvement. I wasn't going to waste my money on a big bore unless I could get the suspension to work better...that's why I did suspension first.

I can see why you would upgrade your suspension. The vast majority of KLX owners will probably never push their bikes to that degree. You rank pretty high on the list of hard core KLXers.

I do wish for more suspension travel sometimes, though. I've learned not to lead high-speed stretches that are unfamiliar, because hitting a bad washout (they can be almost invisible until you are right up on them) can really jar your fillings loose on a bike that doesn't have a lot of travel available. I guess that's the price I'll pay for spending half of what some of those other guys have spent for a dual-sport.
