Default New tires time!!

Hey I'm getting ready to buy new tires for the bike and i have NO IDEA where to start for good tires. i have an 18" rim in back and a 16" in front. rear size if i remember right is an 18-140-? don't remember at the moment but can check if it matters much.

what brands do you suggest? type of tire or site you've had good luck with? i'll be replacing both front and rear tires. used for just street riding, no racing or anything special like that.

thanks

WTF? a 16 in front and 18 out back? that a big difference
My guess is That has GOT to have some kind of impact on how it handles!
Can that be unsafe?

A lower size rim will accelerate faster
A larger size rim will handle better

Am I right?

You only use 140 for rear? Is that whats recommended?
Sorry, Its just a wierd setup to me. 140 on 18 with 16 in front

i just got my new conti- road attack tires. scoured the net looking for what to buy and found rave reviews of these tires for both cornering confidense and for longevity thanks to the dual rubber compound. http://www.denniskirk.com/ had the best price.

yeah man, i'm rollin an old skool 88 750r mang that's what they came with. do u know how much bigger i can go on that old rim?

i like the offset of the old bikes, looks really unique IMO especially since i'm the only one of my friends that chose old skool over a brand new bike. mine's the only different one haha.

those Dunlops are soundin good, my buddy used those to replace his stock tires on the 06 gixxer and says they are AMAZING!!
