Unhappy Exhaust pipe too close to Oil filter case

Greetings friends, my oil filter is too close to the exhaust pipe and cannot be removed. The exhaust pipe is slightly over the oil filter cover. Is there a way I can get the filter out without any issues.

Its a 98 ZX11 with Yoshi pipe.

Thanks for any help. :smile

ah, an internal filter. And "slightly" means not enough room to drop the cover and the filter? I hate that. Loosen the exhaust at the rear mounting bracket and drop the headers if the yosh does not have a removeable midpipe. (I am not familiar with their pipes) If you figure out a better way let me know. You may want to keep a spare set of header gaskets on the shelf as well. Enjoy

Thanks for the reply, but removing the header everytime for an oil change would be pain in the neck.

Does anyone else have this issue with the Yoshi's or I am the only soul with this issue?

I have the yosh on my 10 and everytime I have to drop the exhaust....I am able to keep the heasers bolted up and just take off the can and midpipe.

I don't think mine has a mid pipe. Is it easily installable? If yes where can find it and what is the procedure. Thanks
