Hi - I have only owned 2 bikes and both were new (XT250 and CRF250L). I'm looking to get back to riding with a focus much more on offroad trails (logging roads, fire access roads, etc). If I'm understanding all the comments and reviews, the KLX250 is a more dirt oriented bike than the CRF250L (right?).

There are 2 used KLX250's close to me and would like to know if anyone has feedback on either price or condition, along with anything I would specifically want to ask or check. I'm not the most mechanically inclined person but knowing what to look for/at would help me make a mistake.

Anyway here are the two ads; the first one has things on it that I'd want to do anyway and my only question is what should have been done for maintenance on a bike with 6600 miles?

Second ad: also a 2012 but only 1500 miles. its for sale but ad off craigslist at the moment. he has removed all the decals (blah) and made no other changes to bike. asking around $3800 i think.

so 4k mile difference and one has a few things i'd be spending $$$ on to add anyway. appreciate the help from you KLX gurus.
