Default looking for some input.

Hey, im looking for some help on which bike i should get. I'm 21 and im thinking of getting a bike for the summer and keeping my rex for the fall/winter. It will be my first bike. I was looking at the 2007 ninja 650R, seemed like it was a nice rideable bike but still sporty. I also looked at the ZX-6R, but that looks like its a bit much for a learner bike. Anyone have some advice for me? Am i on the right bike? I also have some dirt bike riding experience. So im not COMPLETELY new to being on two wheels.

Thanx!

In my opinion, there is no such thing as a starter bike. You can start on a ZX-14R, and have great success. You just need to be cautious but calm. Don't try anything stupid, or above your skill level until you have enough experiance. Also, if you haven't already checked on insurance pricing yet, now's a good time to do it. Some bikes can run their riders over 2 g's per year to insure! So make sure you can afford the insurance on that ZX-6R before you go and put a deposit down on one.

Agreed, I would say don't go ba**s in on a new bike either. A 600 is great for me and I don't think I will go any higher unless this thing starts to bore me. Buying a used bike would be good so then you don't spend as much and you can usually find good deals if you look for them. The good thing about a new bike is it's like a virgin...never touched...it's all up to you, but keep your mind open and your wallet closed until you find what you think is best for you....good luck on the search!
