Rear Brake Light Harness - Connector or NO?

Rear Brake Light Harness - Connector or NO?
I found what I think is a great product since I ride my 2009 KLXSF 99% on the street for (hopefully) alerting drivers behind me that I'm slowing down... either with brakes or by downshifting
Check out the GearBrake product here
They sell it as a plug-and-play device that you plug into your brake light connector which is usually found under your seat.
So on to my question..... I've followed the wires from the rear brake light to fine where there might be a plug before it hits the main harness and I can't find one. The wires go right into the harness.
Am I missing something or do these wires just go directly into the harness and my only option would be to test out then splice this device in?

Max, Thanks for the reply and I'll use the bolts underneath to remove the light assembly and check. The plug must be right before the light if that is the case.
I'll check and post up the results..thanks

Yep...you guys were right. Unbolted the light housing and the plug is only about 5" from the light itself. Thanks for the guidance. It looks like splicing the unit under the seat will work best.
