I just installed the Vance and Hines Urban Brawler exhaust on my new 2011 z1000. I haven't gotten to really ride it much since install but it sounds a lot better and i took about 15 lbs off of the bike by just removing the stock cans. first pic is stock exhaust

That exhaust looks way nice! Looks like it saves the bike 100lbs! lol

Get some ride time in with that setup and see if you need earplugs while riding or not. It looks loud for sure.

 

So i've had the brawlers on the bike for a little over a month and i love the way the exhaust sounds. My wife says she can here me coming a block and half away. I don't think the exhaust is super loud but it is noticeable going down the road.
