Lowsided my bike...

RE: Lowsided my bike...
Ok... I'm back in Afghanistan but I do have some new pics of the ZX9 project. I got the upper and lower fairings and fuel tank drilled and prepped for paint. I pseudo mounted everything to get a feel for the look. The Wareagle double bubble and Scotts stearing stab had not come in prior to my departure. Also the seat is being recovered. So far it's looking really good.

So far it has been a great project. I wish I had more time stateside so I could finish it more quickly. I can't wait to start riding it again.
I try to make it a habbit of not getting shot or blown up. So far it's working. *LOL* Those Taliban are sneaky turds but it's fairly relaxed in the area I'm operating.
Good times.

I would bring the paint onto the CF a little.. little trails that taper off into the CF. Kinda like a flame look I guess. Then again that might be expensive to have done if you don't do it yourself.

I'm actually playing with some ideas of blending the paint onto the carbon. I'm even considering using decals instead. In fact I may use carbon decals on the tank and go the other way with it. At the moment I'll be happy with just getting the fiberglass painted. Keep it simple for now and make changes later as I see fit. It sucks that I can't toy with it right now because I'm really excited to get it done.
