Default KLR650 Clicking when starting up the bike

Hey All,
New here, I have a 2008 KLR650, have had it for a few years now.
the bike makes a clicking noise when i am starting it up, as soon as the bike is running it goes away. It is the same clicking noise I've heard in the past when the battery is dead and the bike wont turn over. Only now the battery is fully charged and it only clicks while the bike is starting then goes away.

I do a fair amount of riding/hunting well out of cell service range and would hate to get stranded if the bike were to just not start one of these times.

Any advise or insight would be much appreciated.

Check connections and jump from another battery to verify it is not a battery issue. Have the KLR battery load tested.
You may have a fully charged battery that isn't putting out the amps needed.

Thanks for the help,
I've checked the battery,
No load 12.6V
Key turn on but not running - 12v
Bike running - 13.8v
seems fine to me, I even hooked the bike up to a running Generator (output was about 16v) and the same clicking noise on start up.

Any tips on how i check the starter? or the solenoid?
