Hi, I have a 94 Ninja 250, and the bike no longer starts, but there is a rapid clicking noise coming from a small round component with a red 30A fuse and connector on top of it. Pics are below. Is this the starter or solenoid? Sorry..im a tech newbie. TIA

That would be an electrical solenoid. It is probably good, but I bet your battery is eitherbad or has low voltage. Try charging up your battery first and then see if the bike turns over. (Make sure you only use a trickle charger.)

What voltage are you reading at the solenoid? How old is the battery. Good connections? From seeing a rusty resevoir connector thought I would ask.

 

battery is not putting out enough power.its not the starter solenoid.

 

the part your looking at is the starter solenoid.battery has not got enough power.try a new battery.
