It is attached to the clutch lever body. You should see a couple wires going into it. Basically, it's just an ON-OFF switch.

If it's not the clutch switch, it is the sidestand switch. Will not allow the bike to start with the sidestand down and in gear. Most likely the sidestand switch is your problem.
