Default T-Rex Frame Sliders

I need some frame sliders for my new bike and I found these on ebay. Does anyone no if they are any good? And is there anything special I should know about installation? I've never done it before and I have no clue what I'm doing.

Are no cut sliders better then cut ones? THe sales guy today was telling me that the no cut sliders can f up the frame when you hit the ground. Is that true?

The no cut frame sliders are notorious for bending or cracking off in a drop because the bracket cannot support the force. Frame sliders where you have to cut the fairings are just a straight bolt, eliminating the weak bracket.

i have no cuts and i went down with them. yes they did break however it bent more than breaking so it sill protected, not one scratch and then all i had to replace was the mount. (sanded and re powdercoated the buck and it is like new)
