Default Axle sliders / Frame sliders for KLX250SF

Hi everyone,

I just got a great deal on a 2009 KLX250SF and I've been hunting for axle sliders or frame sliders for about 2 months without any luck.

I've seen several postings on supermoto forums about custom "home made" axle sliders, even some made from skateboard wheels (which actually looked pretty cool and were appearantly inexpensive), but there are never any details about how to actually DO this mod. I've even been pointed towards a website in Thailand that manufactures a handsome slider kit (see link below), but I don't speak Thai and the google translator function does not work well on forums because ppl typically type slang.

So... does anyone know of ANY manufacturers who sell bolt on slider kits for the KLX250SF? I'm getting kind of frustrated with the search. Please help.

Do a search for d-tracker on Ebay and you'll find some frame slider that are pretty nice. I bought them for my KLX, fit and finish are better than expected.

Default Thank you

Thanks to everyone who replied to this thread. I was able to locate an axle slider kit for the KLX250SF (which appearantly is refered to as a "D-tracker" overseas... who knew!?!) from a Thai manufacturer with a little help from Wheeling Cyle Supply (www.wheelingcyclesupply.com). Can't say enough good things about the guy who runs that place. Great poducts and great service.

My back up plan was to measure out the holes in the front and rear axles, buy a couple threaded stainless steel rods, lock nuts, washers, some LockTight, and then scavenge some old skateboard wheels. I'm guessing this would of course been a MUCH cheaper way to go and have similar results, but I just couldn't stand the thought of adding thousands of dollars of custom upgrades to get just the right look I wanted and then doing a custom "hack" job on something as practical as axle sliders. I mean, I was almost afraid they might snap off in the event of an accident or something if I botched the job.

I'll update this thread with some picks when they arrive and get installed. Thanks again to everyone who replied. Appreciate the help guys.
