Negitive, you can replace rings without ridgid or ball honing, just make sure you have a nice cross hatching in the cylinder, yeah umm most deff get some new rings,
I am confused with this comment. we are not talking about break in mmi.
I used bands on the rings prior to the cylinder placement. Sounds like your rings are F'd

I think he means honing isn't necessary if the cross hatching is present and looks good. Asa far as the rings; they are toast.

hahaha, was thinking along those lines speed, wanted to make sure. I have a tough time deciphoring what istyped and what is meant at times. lol
