no more 636s in 2007?
I must admit a displacement just over an allowable limit for racing in the 600 class doesn't make sense. Sure, make it a 676 or higher that might have some real additional horsepower would be nice. But making it just enough to rule it out of any future racing in the 600 class, that's just stupid.
Everything but the front end on the bike is pretty cool. Lets hope they keep the old front opening.

I'm sure we'll grow to like the shape & changes. I really like the concept bike. I am hoping that Kawasaki reads the comments and comes out with a more rider friendly machine than the R6. Remember, they sell a lot more for the streets than they do for racing. Maybe the 636 is a hush hush unveiling. Even if it looks like the MotoGP racer ZXRR, it would be cool.
I may be wrong, but I bet the actual production bike will look different than what you see now. (hope it does anyway.) Look at car makers, their cars and trucks hardly ever look the same once they hit the showroom.
Maybe they'll have a 750 or an 800cc version since MotoGP is going to 800cc's next year instead of 990cc's. So it may be back to the 600, 750 & 1000 cc streetbikes again like it used to be. I think the 600/636 is too close/ not too much of a difference anyway. Think next bike of the year for 2007. The 06 ZX10 almost again (04 & 05 winner) made it to #1 of Cycle Worlds/Motociclismo Master Bike 2006 Shootout; Almost. It was beat by the Aprilia RSV Mille by fractions of a second. The Triumph 675 wasn't far behind and took third overall. Our 636's had ground clearance problems.
