Hey everyone I recently bought my 2006 zx6r off of Craigslist. There was wet roads so I couldn't open up the throttle all the way. Besides that I was happy with the bike and bought it. But now that I am able to ride on dry days, when I try to open up on 1st gear I dont think I get full power out of the 636CCs. The top speed out of first gear I can get is indicated around 67. Seems pretty low because my friend with a 2005 cbr can hit 80. When I'm at high rpms in first gear and engage the clutch to just coast the rpms drop so low the bike just cuts off. It was dark when I met the owner and did not notice that there was rust in the gas tank. Not extremely bad but still rust. I'm now left thinking it Is from a bad fuel pump or filter. Let me know what everyone thinks!
