Need some info on the 04 ZX-6RR. Damper needed for track?
Hi,
I'm considering a 04 ZX-6RR mainly for the track but also occasional road use. Up until this point I had been focusing on getting a 04/05 GSX-R 600 but really like this Ninja. I can't find much info about it though and would appreciate your opinion.
1. Is it prone to head shakes/tank slappers?
2. It's been suggested I get a damper for this bike for the track, any suggestions on which one to get and what costs I can expect?
3. Will parts availability/cost be a potential issue due to the low production of this bike? However seems like most of it is the same as the ZX-6R aside from some engine components and other parts.
Any opinions or suggestions for this bike would be appreciated. This 04 is priced similar to 04/05 Gixxers and I'm trying to figure out which one I should get. Seems with a damper the Ninja will then be $500 more, I'm willing to pay up if the bike is worth it.
Thanks!

A damper is a nice option. (have a GPR on my '05) Although it can also be a bandaide for bad suspension, tires and rider compatibilities. I prefer a suspension to rider setup over a damper. The damper though will come in handy on buck60 speeds.
