Question '07 ZX-6R "jumper mod"

Hello all I'm new to this forum, and all forums for that matter. I've been riding since '90 and raced as a privateer for a bit in the mid 90's. My question is in regards to the "jumper mod" on the '07 ZX-6R. For those who have done it, has it been worth it? And have there been any problems after doing it? Any input is appreciated.

no. i wouldent do it again.
i did it on my 06 and it was nice for about a month and then it started running way rich and puffing smoke on hard accel. now (after i took it out) it is perfect again. i dont know if having a power commander would work better in conjunction with it but by itself i was extreamly unhappy with the results

I think that after the ECU Mod, your bike would require a re-map for best performance because it changes the exhaust flow and fuel input/ mapping, especially at top end. It works and we have proven the performance gains on the Dyno. Haven't had any prblems with the mod so far. I have done it on 05-06 636's and 07 ZX6R's with no issues.

Sup, how long did you have that problem? Could it have been something else; bad gas/ water in the gas etc? Get it re-mapped maybe would help. Makes sense that it would run richer because the stock system cuts out fuel near wide open throttle so a custom map would be recommended for maximum performance with the ECU Mod.

i had it through 4 or 5 different tanks of gas including some 101 octane av-gas.

the closest place to have a remap or bike dyno is like 4 hours away, and i am just happy with the stock cuz it isnt spitting out smoke anymore
