Engine cuts off when shifting into first

Default Engine cuts off when shifting into first
I have a new 07 Ninja 650 which I stupidly crashed and broke my ankle so I havent been on the bike in pretty much 2 months, and now I can start up the bike and I kick it into first and the engine cuts off. What could be causing this?

Sounds like a Kickstand safety switch issue

It was the kickstand...I didn't put it up first. Just being stupid first time back on a bike in 2 months.
