dealer maintanance..do I need it
So I'm about to hit 600 miles..and I have a dealer letter to take it in after the break in period of 600 miles to get these things done. They quoted me 200 bucks to do all of this.
now I understand that most things wont be done since i dont have certian things..
but let me know if this is worth it or should i just change the oil and take care of stuff myself.
keep in mind I never had a bike and dont know what is what..
change oil filter (simple)
change oil shaft( whats that)
adjust chain (do i need it)
synchronize carbs (dont have carbs
check spark plugs.(for what)
adjust all cables (they seem fine)
thighten all nuts and bolts
grease fittings
service battery (what for)
tighten spokes(no spokes)
check fluid levels. ( i can do this)
saftey check ( i do it daily)
so thats everything they do for 200 bucks. what can i do buy my self ..
thanks everyone for your help.

The dealer did my first service and it cost me about $130 for them to change the oil, adjust the chain and check everything that it said to check. I only did this because it was still under warranty and I wanted it on record if anything went wrong. I do everything myself now, because I need to learn and I can't afford to pay them to do it.
