Default Which year model to look for?

Hello All,
I will be in the market for a used Ninja 500 within the next 12 months and am doing some research.
Was wondering what year models I should veer from or even gravitate towards regarding mechanical reliability.
I know this model was made for several years however I do not know how each year stacks up to it's other year model brothers.
I am primarily concerned about mechanical reliability. Aesthetics would be 2nd choice. I also want a model that has the most front fairing pieces available.
Any ideas?
Thanks, good to be here. I am very much looking forward to my next bike in the near future.

they are all the same mechanically. 94 and there are aftermarket fairings that cover the gap but again since 94 they are all the same so it boils down to how much you will spend, availability of colors newer models with less mileage should be less likely to breakdown
