lol, i had this same problem about 3 weeks ago its good to know that i wasn't the only one with this problem. I found out it's the fastest way by loosing the speedo and reaching behind it to attach the cable. OR if you hands small enoguh you should be able to fit it from under the bike. You may need friend or something so they can look for it since the angle isn't the best.
