Default valve replacement questions.

there is a bike for sale around here 250r and they are saying that everything is good just it might need a valve replacement. what would that cost??
the bike is pretty cheap so if i could get it and replace the valve then i could same money if the valve replacement isn't too expensive.

p.s. i got my class m license today. ...i want a ninja so bad i can taste it. but they are all so freakin expensive right now....and everyone is looking to make a profit..no offense but i'm not going to pay 3500 dollars for a used ninja other than the yr 2008. but that may just be me.

Means a strip down of the top half of the motor. Not cheap. It also means that there's a strong possibility that if it has one valve damaged there'll be lots of other things once the motor's opened up.

I'd either steer well clear, or use it as a preoject to learn how to rebuild engines. I'd only pay pennies for it because until you gret the motor steripped you don't what it might need, up to and including a new engine.
