Default Groves in front rotor

Alrighty im noticing some groves in my front rotor. Theres still plenty of brake pad and theres no odd noises from rocks being under the pads. Did i possibly get a bad rotor? Just kinda wondering becouse if i can get free new parts due to warenty im all over it

Warranty, umm... no. Unless you have really deep grooves, and they were caused by a failed part on the bike, there is no way a dealer would consider a warranty on your rotor. All rotors develop grooves anyway. Anything from irregularities in the pad material to small particles of sand/gravel will cause groves. It's inevitable, and it's normal.

And if they are just as deep as a vinyl record, then pull off your rotor, put it on a turntable, and listen closely. If its satans voice talking, your bike is probably demon possesed. Take it to the dealer and they will perform an exorcism. If its something else, i.e. classical music, berry white...sell it on eBay as a novelty item...

JK JK...

EDIT: Wow, I just noticed I had the word "sell" just randomly placed in that sentence...
