2018-2020 KLX250 w/mods vs 2021 KLX300
Hey Everyone,
New to this forum,
Pretty sure this question has already been asked, so if so, please point me to the link or correct thread.
I am about 30 days or less away from purchasing either a 2018-2020 KLX 250 dual sport or 2021-2022 KLX 300 dual sport.
For reference, I have a Yamaha Super Tenere with mods for long distance ADV rides/gravel and some aggressive stuff..., but as everyone knows, it's heavy when it take a nap in the woods.
Plan is to add the KLX to the fold and ride it more aggressively in the woods and improve my off-road skills, while keeping the Super Tenere.
The KLX will likely not be my commuter bike and possibly stay at my seasonal campsite as well. Planning to Riders-share the KLX and maybe the Super 10 as I am interested in that as well.
So, should I purchase a very lightly used EFI KLX 250 and add full exhaust, efi tune, rear rack, bars, bark busters... OR, spend a little more money and do less mods with a 2021 KLX 300.? That is the last question I am asking myself before puling the trigger. Thanks for the responses. Kurt
