Default new member 2021 KLX300

I've been riding a 2015 KLR650 (40,000miles worth) but am getting older, weaker and more cautious. So.. I have ordered a 2021 KLX300 dual sport, can't wait for delivery!
PS: whatever you do, DON'T get old!

Too late, Bill... at 72 I'm already old.

Yesterday I bought a 2021 KLX300 SuperMoto. It's a good old guy's bike. Stable, reliable, underpowered... ...like me.

Enjoy the ride.

Greg

OK, you old-timer I'm only 71 & 2/3 years old. I though about getting the 17" wheel version but I still do a lot of off-road. I'm thinking I could get a second set 17" Wheels.

When I die you can catch up.

I'm a little guy and can barely touch my toes to the ground when stopped. A set of Kouba links are coming to drop the rear and some bar risers will allow me to drop the forks. Living in the middle of a rural canyon with no available local offroad, I only ride twisty asphalt so the sportbike wheels are perfect for my use. If you do get 17's make sure to match the brake disc size as the SM wheel has a gigantic front disk.on it.

It's funny... after 56 years of biking, the joy of riding is just the SAME as when I was kid.

I used to ride a Grom!

I don't care how old a person is, use your head and your gear. If your daily riding gear is that as pictured tooter? A colostomy bag could be attached to the leg hole that just got ground out from road trauma because you did not wear your gear! Ok, I voiced that concern.
Happy Riding everyone

Life itself is an sssumed risk
and each of us freely chooses which risks to assume.

I would not choose to assume your risks
and you would not choose to assume mine.

There is perfect moral justice in this
in that neither of us
has to experience the consequences
of each other's assumed risks.

We only experience the consequences
of our own assumed risks.

You're welcome.
Only 100 miles and I'm totally happy with it.
300 is a nice intermediate size.
What I like most is the buttery smooth
6 speed close ratio transmission.
It shifts like an F1 compared to the DRZ.
