However, I do like the hooker boot route!

I have 3 " Koubalinks that I used as I got used to the bike. You will probably also want to lower the front shock towers as well (or technically raise I guess). The bike tends to bottom out over bumps with the 3" but once I got more familiar with the bike I put on 1.5" lowering links and it tremendously improved the ride quality.

If I was able to find the 3" Koubalinks I would just send them to you for free but I can't seem to dig them up. They are no use to me anymore.

+1.

I did the 3" drop and switched back to 1.5 last year. I gotta tell you it messed up the whole bike.
The front forks were lowered (raised) for all they were worth, the bike bottomed out so I bought a stiffer spring. With all this lowering I was not able to stand up on the bike because the footpegs were now rotated back. I ended up having the front teeth on my footpegs ground down so they were level with the rear ones so it feels like my feet are flat on the pegs. I had to get bar risers and new bars to make the bike rideable again. The list goes on...

Really, get her a bike that fits her. I wish I would have done that from the start.

Tell her to learn to ride better, you not supposed to be touching the ground anyway. Stand up and hit the gas, just stay away from off camber stops. lol

Now it does. I ride what would probably be classified as two track technical (deep mud, rock gardens, roots--wet woodsy stuff) and it took me some getting used to.

I'm comfortable enough on it now (after 2 seasons) that I'm willing to cough up the extra money for all the mods.

Well she will probably be using it for riding to/from work.. and I will be using it for woods.. so I am not worried about that..

Not that I know anything, but lowering the rear of a KLX 3" is too much.

Check with Brewster first, though. He has a technical background.
LOL!...now come on, man...was that really necessary?
