Winter Storage?
General rule o thumb is plastic tank-drain it, metal tank full with stabil, drain before returning to use.
That said I store snowmobiles all summer and believe I've had best luck just starting them from time to time, even ~ once a month has worked. Drain old gas before use.
I've had problems with brake pistons on stored street bikes from non use, so i think it's best to try and ride them as well as start them if possible.

I know, the last thing I wanna do is put the bike away. I got it in April and have only managed to put 3000km on it since then because of trips back and forth to Afghanistan with work....now I gotta let it sit on a stand in the garage for 5 whole months!!!
Why can't Canada be more like California???
also, with the carb, if I dump some stabil in the tank with some really good gas and run it through the system for a few minutes, is it better to drain the float bowl or keep the carb full? I just don't want any varnish or crap forming over the winter...
