Default Winter Storage Tips?

Looking for Winter Storage Tips ................ If it's anything like last winter it's going to be "COLD & SNOWY".
I know the owners manual gives basic winter storage tips, but what is everyone doing in reality?
Garage? Indoor storage? Heated indoor storage? Empty gas tank? Full tank, with a stabilizer added?

change your oil if it has some miles on it. fill your tank and add stabilizer. let the bike run for a while so that the stabilizer gets in the fuel lines and the float bowl. get the bike off the ground if you can and indoors is ALWAYS better that outside. lube your chain and check your tire pressure. i've been doing this for years and have never had an issue come spring time. in the spring i drain the gas and replace it before i start the bike.

What about the battery? Remove it? Leave it on? Trickle charge? I'm thinking of putting the bike in storage, so I can use my garage over the winter!
Thanks

oops forgot about that. i take mine out. i have more than one bike so i have all the batteries in the house. i just put a different battery on the tender every know and then. i wouldn't leave any one battery hooked up all winter.
