Winter Storage?
Well, as much as it pains me to do so, I think it's time to put the bike away for the winter. Since this is my first bike and first time doing this, what do all of you guys do in terms of getting your bikes ready for long term storage? I'm planning on draining the carb and gas tank, dropping the tire pressures and pulling the battery, bringing it inside and putting it on a tender. It's got fresh oil in it now so that should be fine.
Anything else???

ride it! I plan on starting mine at least once a week, put on all the winter cloths, and at least go up the road. and if the road is clear enough to get to the trail, romp on the trail a bit. Of course i am in the Northeast, not ON, so I guess I have that option...
If it gets cold and it is humid there you might be better off filling the gas tank with quality 100% gasoline and then putting Stabil in with the gas. Fire it up to run the stabilized fuel through the carb and leave the tank and carb full with the stabilized fuel. Remove the battery and put it on a tender and put the bike up on a stand so that the tires are not touching the ground no need to let the air out. Wash it and spray it down with WD-40 wipe it off and lube the chain and your good to go. As jxg said it never hurts to start it up once in awhile. P.S. These things can be hard starting when it's cold out. Everybody has their own routine, I just lay mine over on the right side until gas runs out the over flow, pull out the choke and then hit the majic button. It starts every time.
