Ok, so ..thus far it appears as if the attributed miles come down to 2 things, which seems most everyone takes part in both anyways.

1. Using the bike as a vehicle for daily routines such as errands and work.

2. Taking long cross country/enduro rides.

Just as I suspected, Watson.

I thought I managed to ride a lot last season but only ended up with 1286 miles total. I've only managed to put another 250 on it since this season started. My goal is to have 3000 on it by October. That would be 3000 miles in 1.75 years. Still, that's pretty low...

Maybe I just need to get used to it though.
Yeah, it is a bit of a case of harden up. Or smarten up - on longer trips while on the highway where my bum didn't leave the seat, I usually used my sleeping mat, folded up and between me and the seat - softens it a bit and makes it slightly wider. Just remember that it's there - it was a sad event when I forgot, stood up for a bit of a stretch, when I sat back down about 1 km later, it was gone, never to be seen again. It was cold nights on the ground for the rest of the trip...

I used to ride mine alot to work, and for errands, but not too many cause there isnt room to put anything on the bike. I have taken my bike to Florida to ride from pittsburgh, trucked it down, i have taken it up to Allegheny national forest 3-4 times, i have taken it to the hatfield mccoy trails in WV, many times to ohio, wellsville, local trails. I take it all the time, i just enjoy riding it. But now i have the KLR650 so i like riding that alot too.

~1200 in 4 days and 360 in one, so yes they (ok, maybe just a few of us) do.
