Had to run a translation as my 2 years of French language in the early 1980's is mostly forgotten. You remember more than I. Unsure what you are thinking though. But, drum roll please....the BB351 has arrived! Hooray, let the sweating in the garage begin.

Ne pensez-vous pas que vous devez augmenter votre jet principal?

Default Dumb Question

In my BB351 kit box is a plate shaped like a small rectangle with two holes. Would somebody tell me what it is for?

I think that I have read that it is to block off the smog deal on the front of the head. if you look directly above the exhaust outlet, between the frame and the head, you will see a part with the same footprint but instead of being a flat plate it has a small rubber hose going to it.

Default Begin

Let the games begin. Come to me Zen of motorcycle maintenance, come.
This being my first ever head and cylinder install my question is which of the two big gaskets is for the head?

Edit: I just plucked out of the crank case one of the two dowel pins that locate the cylinder on the cases, sitting pretty on the crank. That could have been bad juju.
Anything else that people accidentally drop in to the bottom end I should look out for? The pdf manual's pictures are pretty useless, does anyone remove the front chain guide?
I didn't have a copy of the manual in the garage so I winged it. I think I will print out the installation instructions though.

The smaller one with the metal cylinder fire ring. Head gasket won't fit cylinder base anyways. Good luck!
