Ya the smart phone speedometer apps are sketchy in performance. I don't want to be beating on the bike only to get inaccurate info. Once the shift light is on, it'll be a no brainer-almost as good as a Veypor. (the plate that holds the stopwatch is bolted to the RH turn signal stalk)

Re that vertical divider I tried earlier..if that slows the bike by 3 seconds, imagine what that Thunder Products quad wing torque insert does ?

It has to be hurting performance

 

Equipment health monitoring, example; we get a new pump/motor assembly, we install it and trial it, during trials we measure axial and radial vibrations at major components(bearings, shafts, gearboxes, pump end bearings etc) then every X hours of operation we re measure these points, compare the values with baseline and determine if we need to replace or repair components. Vibration analysis(VA) has endless applications in industry, or marine engineering in my case.
