Suspension damping / rebound adjustements
The front forks of the 2006 KLX 250 have 16 way front and rear dampening adjustements. The rear dampening adjustement is on shock resevoir and the front adjustements are at the bottom of each fork..
The stock KLX 250 setup is for a rider about 150 lbs or so. That being the case I would assume that for those of us in the 225 to 250 lb range the dampening should be pretty maxed out.
QUESTIONS:
#1. For front fork dampening would FULLY DAMPED be all the way IN or all the way OUT?
#2. For the read shock would full dampening be all the way IN or all the way OUT?
#3. Where should the REBOUND adustment (found on the bottom of the shock body) be set ?
I've fiddled with these in a purely non scientific way and I can't feel much difference.
I'd like to start with FULL STIFF front n back and work from there.

I weigh 250-260 I have my forks all the way in clockwise, and the rear compression all the way in cw as for the rebound I found it works best for me if I turn it in cw till it gets to the point where its resisting "its a sudden change on my bike I too have an 06" then go 1 click ccw but you want to mess with it while your riding go in or out a couple clicks ride for about 5min over what you usually ride on the adjust again until you get a negative affect and go back to the best setting, you might want to bring a pen and paper even so you remember how many clicks on what setting you just changed

I know you said you were just going to start from full dampening of the shocks, but make sure not to leave them there. I was told to never run a shock at max settings. This was regarding my Miata back when I autocross'd it, but I can't imagine it being any different for a bike.
