All you need is a tag, headlight, tail light and horn

Oh and one mirror.

To get your Florida tag, just show up at the tax collector with the klx....they will just check that the vin on your title matches the vin on the frame and then you are done after you give them $30....no insurance required.

No inspections what so ever

Canaveral huh.....looking forward to seeing you at the Big Scrub...aka Ocala National Forest...get a trackmaster II rear, you are going to need it for the sugar sand.

See Ya!!!

Not much on hills....thats why we call it Flatistan.

Swamps, sand dunes...and lots of sugar sand trails....some hard terrain is close to the west coast.

The Ocala National Forrest is probably an hour from you maybe less....its due west of Daytona...just google map Orlando and zoom out...you can't miss it...its that big green spot. So many potholes....so little time.

Ocala Forest is a lot of fun and you will be a lot closer than me...shoot its almost a 2.5 hour drive for me.....but you will find lots of local spots....some swamp and some soft sand...all fun.

Look for local spots...this is my local sand pit area

Or just local trails

Great Pictures! Thanks.
That sand looks very challanging.

In Cali we are used to dry and dusty.
Except that it has been rainy and the mud puddles are soooo fun!
But wet ground is kinda rare for me.

Green would be a welcome change from our dry brown.

Wynn,

I'm in central Florida, about 1 1/2 hrs NW of FM and 2+ hrs south of Ocala. Never rode there but want to give it a shot some day. Think we also have a member in Lakeland, a little to the north of here, and if I'm not mistaken we used to have a member in the Ocala area.

Anything north of I-4 on the central spine of the state (known as the Lake Wales Ridge) is what passes for hill country down here. Nothing at all what you're used to, but there seems to be lots of decent places to ride. You make it to the Cape let us know, would be fun to get a few "locals" together for a ride.
