That is sweet how you fitted the GPS into the speedo cluster spot. I use a Garmin GPSMap60cs on a handle bar mount. It works quite well for me and its still portable, so I can take it with me when hiking.

Heres a pic of my setup. Ingorne the Odometer, old pic, KLX now has 4K miles.
Hey is that just the standard mount you can get from garmin? I've got pretty much the same unit as you and would love to mount it on the bike.

Yep. Its the Garmin handle bar mount. I also have one my Pacific mountain bike. Works great. Comes with a braket for my model too. I usually just take the GPS off and leave the braket. But you can also remove the bracket easily enough and just have the bar mounter left.

Deej, take that stuff off. You are not a dang reporter on 2-wheels. Especailly that camera. Clocks fine, GPS is also fine, but a dang camera. What are you trying to do, storm chase a tornado on a 250.
Don't hate dude.[8D]

Here are a couple of videos from last summer.

Pretty boring stuff, I haven't had a chance to try it on the trails. Soon though.

Here's one with the camera not on the bike.[8D]

i agree with type the more i thought about it if you were to knock a hole in the case down below and lost the oil ya might not notice in time before damage is done. wich anything can happen off roading. but other than that it looks sweet. imo....

Well if you are determined to go that route it's your bike but that isn't a very good solution IMO. Not having idiot lights is asking for trouble. You should consider the Ram Mount for the Street Pilot III http://www.mountguys.com/ProductDeta...I&click=21

+1 on the camera....Deej RAM does make a small tube mount for that unit and it's pretty inexpensive. http://www.expressmounts.com/
I run a ball mount and 3" extension for 60 CsX and it puts it up closer to the line of site so i don't have to move my head and look down while trying to be safe and see where i'm going. It has survived many crashes on the bike and many more along with tree and brush collisions on the atv.
