Just shows how different we all are. I'm looking to raise my seat to make less knee bend while seated. I have also dropped my forks as much as I dare in the triples & would love some raising links........... & I'm only 5'11"

Default Body Proportions

You must be all legs, at 5' 11". Can you touch the ground flat footed when seated?

I have a 30" inseam and off road is the only time I find my foot searching for the ground when I need to stop and lean to the wrong side on a hill. I just let the darn thing go and pick it up. First time it started to go I struggled to keep it up and hurt the hell out of my leg muscles. Strained a bit.

I did my old klr650 seat exactly as you did. Made a huge difference! Luckily I'm ok on the Klx, otherwise I'd shave the seat as well...

The turkey carver works wonders....until the wife finds out you used it on a seat lol...

Great write up!!

Great write-up. I did this early on as I too am "short for my height", but I ended up ordering the Seat Concepts foam and cover. Trimming the seat made the bike much more manageable for me, but the SC seat is so much more comfortable over any distance on the road.
