The man in the brown shorts(!) is dropping off my new rimlocks today. Should be a fun install (%@#$!@$@ tires!). Gonna do steering bearings and 13T sprocket while I'm at it.

TIP: Tyres will have a blue spot or white spot on the wall somewhere. That is the tyres heavy spot. Fit the tyre with this spot opposite the valve and rimlock. Should balance quite well. Little known fact!

Nice tip west oz, I havent installed the rimlock yet, so I shall use that trick and see how it works. I am thinking the dot might be gone since I have ridden 600miles and washed the tires a few times

As far as those stick on weights for the spokes. I had one when I got the rim and tire back from the dealer. Then after the first off road ride, I didnt have one anymore. Can you imagine if you were riding behind me when that thing flew off? OUCH! Anyways it didnt hit anyone and have no idea when or were it came off.

You would still have to balance it, just not use as much weight

I did the rimlock install today and I must say WHAT A BIT** ) It took about 30 minutes of wrestling and swearing. But I got it. I test rode it up to 75mph on the speedo and there was no vibration at all. I cant believe there is no vibration because the rim has the wieght of the rimlock now. Anyways I am happy. We will see tomorrow, I am gonna run up to the hills for a bit.
How low of tire pressure can I run before I need to worry now that I have a rim lock. Right now its set at 20psi. and I am running a D606 rear tire

I tend to run 19 psi. If it's a hot day and I do alot of riding I'll check it later in the day if they feel sketchy on gravel roads. If your lock is 4 oz like most of them I would balance the rim. Very easy, I got my stick on lead weights from OReillys
