Default Ride height adjustment

How far can adjust the rear ride height of my bike before it affects the geometry of the steering? The bike is a little too tall for me and I figured i'd get used to it. But I've crashed more times cause the seat height is too high then I have crashed while riding. I am 5'7" 165lbs if that helps

There is nothing for nothing in regards to suspension settings.
Everything effect everything else.
But...........there are things to do that really help.

First thing to do is raise the forks in the triple clamps by as much as you can which is around 10mm.
Then set the rear preload/sag to suite.
You end up with a little too much sag but its better than having a bike with a loaded front end.

If thats not enough consider lowering links for the rear and reset front fork hight and sag accordingly.

But if you want to go the whole hog, this is what I did.

Since then I have added stiffer front springs which were also cut down to suite.

And at 5'7", you are practically a giant.

I'm 5'7"/160

I lowered the forks in the triples as much as I could, then backed off the shock preload accordingly.
I can measure it, if you want.
I have since added a .75" spacer in the forks to stiffen it up a bit.
Its still a little tall, but its OK for 99% of the riding I do.

You could cut down some of the foam on the seat. I've heard that an electric carving knife works well.
