Ride height adjustment? '03 ZX6R
So I am the proud new owner of a BEAUTIFUL '03 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R, and I absolutely LOVE it... (a major step up from my '89 Yamaha Seca 750 indeed!!!!) My only problem is I must have short legs or something. All of my friends (even ones who are shorter than I) can place their feet flat on the ground, while I have to stand on my toes to keep from crushing my junk...
Is there an easy DIY way to lower the rear suspension, or do I need to take it into a dealer to have them do it, or am I cursed to look like a fool adjusting the Lovemaker everytime I go for a ride???

I would assume you bought bike from someone used. Did they modify bike to sit high?
What is seat height and how does that compare to factory spec or friends bikes?
Start with basic before modding to new.
How does bike handle when riding?
What size tires are being run compared to factory specs?
Is rear shock preload set high?
A lot of little things could be easy fixes before mods to lower.

I don't know for sure if he modded it to sit high, but he did do some pretty stupid stuff to it: tire was beyond bald, undertail removed ("I thought it looked cooler w/o turn signals" "you're an idiot, have fun getting rear ended..."), front fender was missing top two bolts (I think they had reflectors on the bolts judging from pics online...), one of the pins that holds the rear pannel on is broken... I'm still finding things that shouldn't be right...
seat height is 31", which I believe is right were it is stock, but my heals still need to be an inch off the ground )-:
While riding it handles exelent, however keep in mind my last bike was made befroe I was born and none of my buddies have let me ride their nice shiney new bikes...
tires and rims are stock.
I've never dealt with shocks before, so I have no idea where the preload is set, or or it is high or not...

corbin makes a bangin seat that'll bring your height down a lil bit. also, have you considered lowering links? i have em on mine and even tho i'm a slinky fellow, i really like the feel of the bike, even tho i don't need em.
theres a ton of companies that make links if you're interested in them, and they're not hard to make yourself. just use a high grade aluminum, and make sure the grain orientation runs parallel to the length of the component..
anyways.. custom seats and all are always badass tho!!
