I wouldn't sweat it. I think you are only noticing what has been happening all along, but arepaying more attention to such things because you'vemade mods.
You will notice the 'redness' to be most pronounced if youdo things like opening the throttle while the engine still needs to be rich (I.E. warming-up on a cold day).
