Hay guys with the worm weather im starting to look at my temp gauge a little more just wondering if theres a certain temp that i should pull over and let her cool i usualy see like 223 is that usual and what will i see in heavy traffic thanks.

 

There are coolant additives you can put in to lower the temperatures a little, but sitting in traffic is when it'll get the hottest. Try to keep moving to get more airflow. I just got my header's ceramic coated to keep the engine a little cooler for heat radiating from the exhaust. I have also heard of people switching the plastic fans to metal/ Aluminum fans. I will find out more info about this and post it.

 

are you allowed to split lanes where your at? cause here in cali we are, and i never see my temp go up that high... i highest i've seen it was 210.....

 

Change your coolant to Engine Ice. It's a little expensive, but worth it. Engine will run a lot cooler. Your fan may never come on again.

 

I had the same question when i got my bike and i called the dealer. the fan should come on at aorund that temp and it shouldnt get much hotter. if im siting in traffic it will usually go up into the low 120's then the fan will kick on and go donw into the teens.

 

o56r you said low 120's did you mean low 220's because if your only goes into the 120's and mine goes into the 220's then theres somthing wrong with my bike
