The highest I have seen was 225 on a hot summer night creeping from stoplight to stoplight on a local cruise.... Just another reason for me to stay out of the city and on the open roads and turns where she belongs...

 

I believe all stock ones are not adjustable.

155-160 is what I have when just running 75 mph on the freeway, on a hot day in the summer it's not uncommon to see 180 either. I am running water weter.

 

put water wetter in your coolant and it wont run that hot. i see 220 in traffic so now worries. it says in your manual how hot is too hot it will read HOT in letters i think thats what it says in the manual

 

+1 on the water wetter. I rarely hit 200.... I run a 15% antifreeze in summer with 6 ozs of water wetter, and the rest purified water..

question hey i have had a bottle of the water wetter for a month now and am ready to put it in. where is the best place to dump it in? Under the tank in the overflow bottle thing or directly in the radaitor? ( i think the cap is easy to get to) how did everyone else put it in?
