Ok, question: Since the exhaust is pretty close to the tire, how will the heat coming off the exhaustaffect the tire? I figure it will not be a problem, but I haven't heard anything to say so and the question was posed to me, so I figured I would ask you.

 

Good question, place your thermometer. Before the track day of course! Of course tire pressure is the biggest concern, but is good to know if the radiant heat is affecting the tire.

 

Well, I don't do the track thing, just regular city and highway riding. I'm just hoping that since I haven't heard or read anything negative on the exhaust vs tire issue, that maybe it just looks like it could be a problem and it really isn't.

 

I've had my 650r since last summer and have no problems with the tire heating up andI have even tire wear according to my dealership when the last service was being done.

Not a problem, I am new to riding and have asked enough questions with friends that ride that I think they are tired of me. Luckly I have a friend that is a motorcycle mechanic and that was one question I asked him after getting the bike and he assured me that it wouldn't be a problem. After having the bike for almost a year now he says that my tires are wearing fine.

 

Good, I feel much better now. I hope that shock comes in sooner than later! i am ready to RIDE!!!!!!!

 

The exhaust exits out the side and not even close to the tire.
