Thanks for the input Dan
I got a PM about a lid from an 06. Not sure if it woudl fit. I show an 07 as haveing part # 11065 lid I cant get my 09 manual open for some reason. I'll have another go at it when I get home.

I tried searching for some How to Threads on the FCR. I am not finding them. Ill google. Is there a manual available for this carb?

I don't see part numbers in the service manual, but I do see it on one of the online part finder websites, and it does show the 09 lid as 11065...

One tip of advice. Get good at taking the FCR in and out of the bike. I have had mine out I don't know how many times and am still probably only 95% dialed in.

Still looking into finding some illustated how to's or a parts manual so I can identify what I want to mess with and where it is in the carb. Have not found any yet. I did find this link on how to tune.

Edit
I now have this as a word document so if anyone wants a copy PM me.
Cheers, Jim

Funny I just got an email newsletter from Thumpertalk with a link to a video how to rejett a FCR. Maybe you already have it? Saw it and remembered your thread here.

Thanks Dan thats 'xactly what I was looking for.

I also found this link for rebuilding a FCR but i have not compared to make sure its same as my fcr. http://www.dirtrider.com/tech/141_07...ild/index.html

Also noted they said "experts recomend changing the wear plate on the slide every 25 hours or so. http://www.dirtrider.com/tech/141_07.../photo_07.html I dont see that happenin. anyone got anything to say about that?

Also for everyones edification the F in FCR is for Flat.

Edit and this was titled with me in mind

here are two more links
This one is Sudco's FCR troubleshooting guide. Kind of basic but not useless. I like how they do not neglect to address the obvious like "check the gas"
http://www.satanicmechanic.de/downlo...ng%20Guide.pdf

& this one is manual for a CR-Special. http://www.satanicmechanic.de/downlo...s%20Manual.pdf Not sure how close that is to the FCR but it has a nice graph at the end that suggests what component has most affect at that throttle position. This graph suggests that since I am runnning red hot at aroudn 1/4 to 1/3 throttle only (confirmed last night after I learned that its not RPMS as much as throttle postition) I need smaller throttle cutaway(if I had a CR carb) since I am not sure what that is and if it corelates to the FCR I am doing more research.

I think I have a lid on the way and I want to try running the bike with a lid on before adjusting the carb.

Cheers Jim
