Default Powercore 4 insert (Quiet Core)

Love the sound of my Powercore 4 but its just a little loud for cruising neighborhoods. Anyone have the Quiet Core insert?

I searched a few forums, general consensus is that the "quiet core" does very little if anything.

Check out the following threads for Dyno Runs and dB comparisons:

I have a QCI in my M7 exhaust, I bought the bike with this installed so I have no baseline to what it sounds like without the QCI in, not much help there

I would say going by the dyno runs and dB changes, a QCI does not make that much of a difference for the time and money to be worth the effort.

Good links there..
One thing to remember, if my old senile brain is still working... 100db = 10 times 90db, and NOT 90db + 10db. If that makes sense.
So the 4hp gain in the first link= going deaf

Here is a link to my dyno runs one with the p4 tip in and one without. scroll down to post 6. Red is without blue is with the p4 insert this is for the 2bros m7. Its loud but i dont mind for the power and torque curve it gives. any straight through designed pipe is gonna be loud.

Correct, a dB is a dimensionless unit and uses log base 10 scale of a ratio of two numbers, It is not linear, for example an increase from 90dB to 100 dB (10 dB increase) is not a 10% sound increase, it is much more than that [bust out the old texas instrument calculator if want to really find out ]
