You can try it.
You've git the carb' out anyway, when you fit the Kouba screw.

Mid range - wouldn't you want to raise the needle/lower the clip?

Racegass, I tried doing that.. But not working.. I need to adjust the fuel screw since I opened the air box.. And I want to order a #40 Pilot Jet Just in Case..

Is the Kouba fuel screw adjustable by finger tip without removing the carb?

If so, where can I buy one?
