It seems to me that a radiator guard like the with rearward bracing does not fit when using an IMS 3.0 gallon tank.

I'd like to use both. Can someone here with experience with these parts let me know if they work together or not? Thanks!

 

Hey brother, I have both the Unabiker guards and IMS 3.0 on my 2009 KLX250S... no problems that I am aware of. I've had the tank of a million times and have found no conflicts.

NOTE: My bike had them when I bought it, so I didn't install them firsthand.... but based on the ham fisted mechanic work the PO did on the bike, it could not have been too difficult...LOL

I installed a different set of rad guards (Emperor Racing, I believe) and the IMS tank. Like Abrams, no problem.

 

Excellent. I just looked at the Emperor guards and they too have the rear brace that mounts to the lower fuel tank bracket. So these parts are more than likely going to work just fine. Thanks for saying so!

 

Woohoo, wifey ordered unakiber guards for my Christmas present. I wasn't sure they would work with my IMS tank either. I can't help it, I see that name and uni bomber is in my head, KABOOM! Short cut says unakiber, site says unabiker... Is machining as horrid as picture shows?

 

I also have Unibiker guards on my 2009 with the IMS tank. No issues between the two parts.
