Options for stiffer forks
Yep... pulling the fork springs is pretty easy. You'll need a large socket for the fork caps (something like 30mm I think, but I'd have to check). Strap wrench is handy when torquing the fork cap. You can put it back in the triple tree and do it, but you have to have the handlebars removed. You'll also have to rig something up to set the oil level, and I'm pretty sure both legs together take a little less than a quart total oil. Several youtube vids available.... 1st attempt is probably 3 hours.... 2nd and 3rd go-round are more like 1 to 1.5 hours if you take your time.
